Emily is a college student in the Boston area with an insatiable love for all things culinary and sweet. She has a massive sweet tooth and rarely goes a day without eating some form of dessert.
Emily is mainly a self-taught baker, but has also taken pastry classes at a culinary school, where she gained experience making more complex French and Italian desserts, such as eclairs, croissants, dacquoise, and puff pastries. Her interest in baking began when she was thirteen and discovered the popular Food Network show, Cupcake Wars.
She hopes to follow in the footsteps of her idol, Joanne Chang of Flour Bakery + Cafe, by one day opening her own urban bakery. For now, she bakes out of her home kitchen, honing the perfect recipes for this future endeavor.
